A 1907 concrete upping stone built in the same year as the Chapel was built. Moores chapel was where the famous "Outlaw" Kinnie Wagner's funeral was held.

Moores Memorial Baptist Church,was organized in 1907. The church is located three miles east of Gate City. Rev. C. L. Lane was the first pastor. The church's initial business meeting was held 3/19/1907.
