The Italian Renaissance style Bonneville Hotel was designed by the architectural firm of H.L. Stevens Co. of San Francisco. The hotel was built in 1926-27 to bring a first-class hotel with convention facilities to Idaho Falls. When constructed in 1926-27 at a cost of $335,000, the hotel had a large central lobby, two dining rooms, a ballroom and a sample room. The building was placed on the National Register on Aug. 30, 1984.
