Located in a cemetery, this memorial at first appears to be a gravestone...but, the marker indicates that the Veteran is buried in France.
The Memorial reads:
"IN MEMORIAM
WILLIS DANIEL STORER Jr.
NOVEMBER 25, 1891
OCTOBER 3, 1918 THE ARGONNE
LIEUTENANT 107th F.A. U.S.A.
AT REST A.E.F.CEMETERY
ROMAGNE SOUS MONT FAUCON, FRANCE"
There is a Masonic insignia below the text.
No other information is available at the site..but, a 1901 quote attributed to a William D. Storer from Chicago in the Chicago Daily Tribune upon the ocassion of President McKinley's shooting reads:
“. . . if he recovers his life can be credited to modern advanced surgery and the fact that the operation was resorted to without delay.”

This is most likely the Veteran's father since Storer Jr. would only have been 10 years old at the time.
