UPDATE: It's been reported to me that this mural has been painted over. Sad.
Driving west on N.W. 23rd Street, just east of Meridian Avenue, your eyes are drawn to something you think you saw as you drove by. Was that Mighty Mouse I saw? So around the block you drive to take another look. Sure enough. On the east wall of Acme Art is a large mural with numerous pictures of characters and people you know.

There's Mighty Mouse...and Casper the Friendly Ghost...and Porky Pig.
Is that Marilyn Monroe?
As you walk around the front of the building, you see numerous eclectic items advertising Acme Art. There's an old Nash Rambler painted with advertising, and antique items are peeking out of the display windows. A large surfboard announces ACME ART.
This business creates handmade portraits, signs and murals, and all sorts of "Retro Stuff." Their web site shows the some samples of the pin-up type photography associated with their business. Apparently, you can have most any type of mural or sign created by them, particularly with a Retro theme.
