This reference mark is located about 26 miles northwest of Mackay on U.S. Hwy. 93. The cap is located about 75 feet southwest of highway centerline and nearly under the powerline. Cap location is marked by steel post and sign. The cap was set in 12-inch concrete post by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey in 1965 and was marked DICKEY.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1965 (JJL) THE STATION IS LOCATED ABOUT 25 AIRLINE MILES NORTHWEST OF MACKAY AND ABOUT 28 AIRLINE MILES SOUTHEAST OF CHALLIS. ON THE SOUTHWEST SIDE OF U.S. HIGHWAY ALTERNATE 93 AND ON THE ROAD RIGHT OF WAY. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE POST OFFICE IN MACKAY, GO WEST ON MAIN STREET FOR 1/2 BLOCK TO U.S. HIGHWAY ALTERNATE 93. TURN RIGHT AND GO NORTHWEST ON U.S. HIGHWAY ALTERNATE 93 FOR 23.0 MILES TO HISTORICAL SITE 45 AND SIGN MOUNT BORAH ON THE RIGHT, NORTHEAST SIDE OF THE ROAD. CONTINUE NORTHWEST ON U.S. HIGHWAY ALTERNATE 93 FOR 0.9 MILE TO THE AZIMUTH MARK ON THE RIGHT, NORTHEAST SIDE OF THE ROAD. CONTINUE NORTHWEST ON U.S. HIGHWAY ALTERNATE 93 FOR 1.9 MILES TO THE STATION ON THE LEFT, SOUTHWEST SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE STATION MARK IS A STANDARD DISK STAMPED DICKEY 1965, SET IN THE TOP OF A 12 INCH ROUND CONCRETE MONUMENT PROJECTING 4 INCHES. IT IS 74 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF U.S. HIGHWAY ALTERNATE 93. REFERENCE MARK 1 IS A STANDARD DISK STAMPED DICKEY NO 1 1965, SET IN THE TOP OF A 12 INCH ROUND CONCRETE MONUMENT PROJECTING 4 INCHES. IT IS 72 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF U.S. HIGHWAY ALTERNATE 93.
