After visiting the plaque, turn through 180 degrees, to see the oldest surviving building in Bengeworth. Now a private house, this used to be Bengeworth Manor. It does not have a blue plaque, but there is a list of former owners (so far as they are known) on the wall of the Manor. They date back to King Canute, of holding back the tide fame, almost 1,000 years ago.
