The following is taken from a picture inside the restaurant: The Experimental aircraft which is mounted on the roof of the pavilion was designed and built in 1960 by the late Robert R. Eakin. This aircraft known as the "Delta Wing", never flew under it's own power. It did achieve lift off during towing test conducted at the Venango Regional Airport. Mr. Ekin was a businessman, engineer and commercial pilot with over 22,000 hours of flight time as pilot-in-command.
