Olaias is a station of the red line of Lisbon Metro.
It´s located between Alameda and Bela Vista and was inaugurated in May 19th, 1988 together with Alameda, Bela Vista, Chelas and Oriente when Lisbon Metro was extended to the Expo 98 area with the Red line.
The architect was Tomás Taveira with the plastic artists Pedro Cabrita Reis, Graça Pereira Coutinho, Pedro Calapez e Rui Sanchez.
Like the other new stations, it´s equiped with facilities to help people with reduced mobility to acess the trains.
