The monument is a brass plaque attached to a marble stone and base. It is located on the grounds of the West Orange town hall near other war memorials.
The top of the plaque reads:
Roll of Honor
West Orange New Jersey
DEDICATED IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THE
TOWN OF WEST ORANGE WHO MADE THE
SUPREME SACRIFICE IN THE WORLD WAR
1917-1919
It then lists the names of 28 towns people who died during the war.
