This former school has turned into a a sugar bush house. The school has is loaded with history.
During the period from the creation of the candy until the end of the nineteenth century, one can see that the children of two hamlets Francières are neglected in terms of education, not subject to no attention. However, that of sugar saw its population grow steadily, accelerating in 1860. When the Board of May 10, 1907, Mr. Gaston Benoit Director of SDF states: "The number of children of staff the plant is currently 22, and parents - to ensure that all children have to do two miles to get to the village of Francières - would be willing to give 0.10 franc per day, or three francs a month, if this benefit could help create a school at the plant. A school of this type would be created at the candy Froyères. The local Francières would be prepared in the old canteen ".
Departmental archives, dated September 28, 1907, is the request to open a school made ??by the widow Emma born Bizouard Keusch , aged forty-five years' teacher approved by Mr. Benedict, Director "and addressed to the mayor of the village , Ernest Monnet .
Its intention, "immediately after the approval of higher authority," is to open a private coeducational school.
