This location marks the geographical centre of the state of Queensland, Australia. At the site is a flagpole and a number of large rocks along with a plaque identifying the significance.
While there are a number of ways to calculate the geographical centre of a state, this point is accepted as the centre of Queensland. The point is referenced on Geoscience Australia's website: (

The site is approx 17km NW of the outback town of Muttaburra and is located on private property. Permission MUST be sought from the landholders in advance before entering the property. A number of charity organisations have visited the site and left signs of their visit.
I feel very fortunate to have been able to visit this site with the kind permission of the owners who also flew the state flag on the day.
The point is approx 1020km NW of Brisbane.
