This Alpaca farm is located on US Highway 18 just west of Boyden, Iowa near the intersection of Lily Avenue. During our visit the alpacas were enjoying a bath as the tender was hosing the females and the crais (youngsters) in the shade of tree. The temperatures were in the 90s that day and the alpacas had a perceptible appreciation for the cool of the hose spraying them down.
This alpaca farm has been in business since 2007. They currently have 30 to 35 show quality alpacas which they breed and have for sale. Each one has proper lineage documentation. The farm is operational 7 days a week, and visits may be arranged by appointment, but they also will accommodate drop ins as long as they have the time available. A very friendly couple runs this farm.
While visiting the farm, be sure to check out the adorable pigmy goats that are also raised on the farm.
