This bridge was opened 2nd November 2007 and connects The Royal Armouries and Clarence Dock.

The bridge was named in a competition, the winner being a 10 year old pupil from a nearby school. The inspiration for the name came from the fact that the Royal Armouries museum is just round the corner complete with an outdoor jousting ring. The museum puts on displays with people dressed as knights who demonstrate the techniques of jousting.
At this point the River Aire was made more navigable by turning part of into a canal. There is a narrow channel acting as the canal that bypasses a weir. A small island in the middle has the bridge supports on it.
The bridge was opened by Hilary Benn, the local MP, also present was the girl who named the bridge.
There is car parking at the Royal Armouries museum.
