[NL] Oorlogsmonument voor de gesneuvelden en burgelijke slachtoffers van de eerste en tweede wereldoorlog.
Bestaat uit een grote rechthoekige steen, bovenaan getrapt, op de voorkant staat te lezen:
DE GEMEENTE MOERBEKE – AAN HARE HELDEN – 1914-1918
Daaronder op een afgeschuind rechtstaand tableau de namen van de slachtoffers.
Dit monument werd ontworpen door de befaamde kunstenaar GEO VERBANCK 1920.
Op de achterkant is in de steen het wapenschild van de gemeente gegrift met erboven de woorden: VOOR VORST EN VADERLAND
Onder het wapenschild hangt een bronzenplaat met de namen met de slachtoffers.
[EN] First and Second World War Memorial for fallen soldiers and civilian victims of Moerbeke-Waas.
Consists of a large rectangular stone, stepped top, which reads at the front side “ DE GEMEENTE MOERBEKE – AAN HARE HELDEN – 1914-1918 ”.
It is a work of renowned artist Geo Verbanck. 1920
On the back of the monument in the stone inscribed the arms of Moerbeke-Waas with above the words: VOOR VORST EN VADERLAND.
Under shield is a bronze plaque with the names of the victims.
