The Fremont Main library is the main library for Fremont California, the newest library in the Alameda County library system, and also houses the Alameda County library offices.
It has many internet stations, a local history section, job placement services and a large seperate children's section.
The central stairway features this beautiful sculpture that hangs from the ceiling - "Dream Voyage", by Larry Kirkland, installed July 2, 1989.
"Opening a book is an invitation to take a wonderful and private journey to explain our singular place in the universe." - Larry Kirkland.
Also on display is a selection of gifts exchanged with Fremont's sister city of Fukaya Japan. The large meeting room at the library is also named the Fukaya room.
