This awesome mural is dedicated to the memory of 9-11 and the effect it has had on our country and its people. It was painted by artist Steve Troy in 2003 and can be easily found on the corner of Hwy. 9 & Marshall Streets on the Ace Hardware building. The sign reads:
“May We Never Forget.” Hickory Tech, Sponsor. Steve Troy, Artist. Fourth Mural.
“September 11, 2001 affected every citizen in the United States. The Rock Rapids Mural Society dediates this mural to that memory. “May We Never Forget” what happened in our nation that day. The devastating destruction of the towers and the innocent loss of life. We go on from there; stronger, more determined and united in our patriotism.”
