This memorial consists of three marble slabs fixed to the south wall of the south aisle in this large village church. It is positioned beneath a stained glass window which is also part of the memorial. The window is also in memory of a single soldier killed in WWI.

WHO FELL IN THE FALKLAND ISLANDS CONFLICT
ON JUNE 13th 1982
The window above is of three-lights with tracery. The central light depicts the Risen Christ, the left light St.George, and the right light most likely is St.Gabriel. Below the figures is scroll work held by angels with the phrase 'Thine eyes shall see the King in His beauty - they shall behold the land - that is very far off.' Isaiah ch33:vv17.
The WWI inscription in the left light is:
'To commemorate those who during the
Great War of 1914 1918 gave the most that
man can give, Life itself, for God, for King,
for Country, this window is here placed
having in special remembrance those whose
names are recorded on the adjoining tablet.
The single soldier inscription is in the right light and is:
+ In loving memory of +
Claude Keith Macdonald
+ born 25th March 1889, +
killed in the battle of Icoos
+ 27th September 1915. +
Within the tracery is more scroll-work held by angels quoting 'Christ is risen' 'Alleluia'.
Altogether an impressive memorial.
