Millionaires are being blackmailed into giving money to a gang that pretends to murder them. Providing the millionaires keep paying the murder attempts will be dummy, if they fail to pay they are murdered. Despite elaborate security precautions the gang always seem to reach their man. Steed and Mrs Peel know some of the men who have been murdered and some who are becoming nervous. A banker tips Steed off that a millionaire client is behaving oddly, and that he wants to withdraw a considerable sum in cash. Emma is despatched to follow the millionaire and find out what happens to the money. This she does but gets captured. Unfortunately the money is timed to explode. In a nail biting finale the gang is disrupted, Emma rescued and the gang leader explodes whilst taking off with the money.
The clip for this waymark is the millionaire’s car travelling to the rendezvous, followed out of shot by Emma. Later in the episode Steed passes the same spot. The spot is the junction between Packhorse Lane and Mimms Lane and is next to Rabley cottage, the corner of which can be seen top left.
