In this episode Steed and Mrs Peel investigate bosses who get murdered and are succeeded by their secretaries. The only clue they have is a rare perfume. Emma traces the perfume and discovers from the perfumery the whereabouts of one of its few customers. The customer works as a secretary so Emma becomes a fellow secretary. Emma follows her secretarial colleague to a fitness club and joins. The fitness club appears to be a front for the secretaries to get their instructions on how to murder their bosses and take over the businesses. Emma and Steed succeed in bringing the organisation to book.

Steed follows the owner of the fitness club to a churchyard, where the owner places flowers on his wife’s grave. The clips in this waymark follow Steed and the suspect from the bus stop, up the churchyard steps, up the churchyard to the top, along the path where Steed observes the suspect. The reality on the ground is somewhat different. Although Steed and the suspect go to the top of the churchyard in the first three clips, by clip four Steed is actually at the bottom of the churchyard. A final clip, not included in the waymark, could not be identified. However, since 1966, the church has closed and become a residence. One half of the graveyard is now a private garden, and may well have the final clip. It is unfortunate that the graveyard has been divided, as Graham Hill, the racing driver, and Nicholas Hawksmoor, architect are buried in the private part of the graveyard.
