A stunning font and lid near the entrance of St Peters at the confluence of Northgate and Watergate Streets.
The font appears to be a white sandstone, the canopy is oak and has a Greek inscription (see gallery for greek) in English this reads:-

"wash away my sins, not my face alone"
Approximate Age of Artefact: Unknown, looks in very good condition
