Long Description:
This white frame one room schoolhouse was only in use for 10 years, from 1900 to 1910. Centennial #5 and its neighboring school teacher’s house, are located at Pahoja Recreational Area where it still teaches kids of all ages what education was like more than a century ago. It has been restored by the Lyon County Historical Society and is open on Sundays 1- 4 p.m. during the summer months and by special appointment. History programs are available at this schoolhouse museum.
