This windmill-pump duo give a good illustration of how farms used to get water for household use and for watering livestock. The windmill is a Dempster Annu-oiled #12 and sits inbetween several small buildings in Granite’s historical display. The rusty hand pump is hooked up to the windmill, but it is not clear if it is functional or just for demonstation purposes. The grounds are used for the tiny community’s annual Threshing Bee held on the 3rd weekend of July.
