A cross made of a white stone at the top of Pride Hill where it meets St Mary's street.
The inscription reads (as far as I can make out):-

REGIA SCHOLA
SALOPIENSIS
SEDL NON FIDE
VIVTATA
D D
MCVIIM

It was placed here to replace a cross that was taken down in 1705. This was raised on th 19th June 1952 by a local school.
