Designed and built by American artist George Rickey (1907-2002). Piece was produced in 1973, and is built of Stainless Steel. Rickey was the son of an engineer. First, a painter, his mechanical skill influenced him into becoming a sculpture. He was a teacher at the famous local Newcomb College. He almost always used stainless steel for his kinetic pieces.
