This nicely engraved marble time capsule shares a fenced-in green space with an historical memorial. The official words state: “Be it hereby known that on June 23, 1977 a time capsule was herein placed to commemorate 100 years of progress for Odebolt, Iowa. It is our wish that this time capsule be re-opened in the year 2077. Odebolt, Iowa. The star in the crown of Iowa. Instructions to open at City Hall.“
