Nakhon Si is one of the provincial capitals of southern Thailand. Near the city centre, in a group of other government buildings is this small, elderly, but in excellent condition, office for the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). The date above the main entrance gives the Buddhist Era year of 2469, in the curvaceous Thai script. This corresponds to 1926 CE.
I suspect that this building, which does look like a house, has a long and diverse history of usage. The TAT being but the most recent of many.
