The Welland SCUBA Park is a portion of the old Welland Canal that got designated as a recreational dive site by the city of Welland. Several local dive clubs work on developing the park. Among other things, there's a few sunken cars and a training platform, connected by guidelines.
There's free access and free parking. The site is also used for fishing and swimming, but is closed for boat traffic.
A buoy marks the entrance point and the beginning of the guidelines. Visibility can be very good in early spring, but can be bad (almost zero) after rain and generally gets worse later in the year.
Silty bottom with some weeds.
