Anthony Oates Park is a revitalized park on the southeast side of Evansville. It is one of 65 park facilities ran by Vanderburgh County Parks Department.
Recently, the park had been run down, graffeti covered, and in disrepair. Much work and repair has went into the park and it is once again a nice city neighborhood park.
The nice playground area has been installed, a couple of basketball courts have been repaired, the swimming pool has been fixed and is open for the first time in years, and steps have been made to get rid of the graffetti and trashiness of the park.
