Das alte Rathaus fiel 1802 dem Stadtbrand zum Opfer. Das heutige Gebäude im neugotischen Stil mit seinem markanten viereckigen Turm wurde in den Jahren 1840 – 1842 wieder aufgebaut und 1909 durch einen Anbau ergänzt.
