This small bolt embedded in a rocky outcrop on the summit of Maen Esgob is recorded in the Ordnance Survey database as a trigpoint.

The bolt is located approximately 2ft to the N of the cairn on the summit. Although the coordinates for this trigpoint are recorded in the OS database no height information is given. My GPS gave a height of 301m.
