Approximately 8 feet tall. The statue is mounted high over the doorway, at least 40 feet off the ground, which makes it hard to see. I think the face has a rather dour appearance.
Found this with my #1 son after attending a presentation at the nearby Chicago Public Library by Doug Perry, author of "The Girls of Murder City," a book for which I was credited for a contribution I made. Afterwards we went out for a nice dinner.
