Gatlinburg, Tennessee is a tourist destination snuggled in a narrow river valley next to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. One enterprising firm long ago figured out how to lay out a miniature golf on the steep slope, thus uses an incline railcar to haul tourists to the top. The ride is part of the $8-11 per person game fee (which also includes parking and taxes). There are two tree-shaded courses which end with another ride back down from about halfway up.
