The small city of Nakhon Si lies ~700kms from Bangkok, and is home to the traditional Thai art form of "Shadow Puppets". Performances of which can be seen around the town, and are something of a motif of the city.
Outside the main entrance to the City Museum is this not overly large piece of public art. There is no plaque or other means of identifying the sculpture, however, I believe that I am safe in concluding that it symbolises the shadow puppets of the city. The sculpture consists of two intersecting arches, which contain representations of shadow puppets, all in black. The name given here was bestowed by myself.
