When Santiam Christian Schools, at Adair Village, wanted to expand their athletic fields, they needed to remove some old Camp Adair buildings. The city of Adair Village moved them westward in July 2009, to the entrance of the city, alongside highway 99-W. The buildings are being renovated to be used as a civic center, with an interpretive center about the area's past. In WWII it served as an Army Cantonment to train four Infantry Divisions. In the 1960's this area, which was the army hospital area, became an Air Force SAGE radar site.
