Deep powder snow, rugged terrain and spectacular scenery are world renown charateristics of Alta Ski Area. Its best kept secret is the great beginner and intermediate terrain. The wide variety of awesome terrain and snow conditions provide skiing opportunities for every level of skier.
Alta is a mountain with soul and then some. The resort caters solely to skiers, with prime destinations like the Albion Basin offering wonderful powder and amazing terrain. With a vertical drop of 2,020 feet and 2,200 skiable acres, Alta offers the ultimate skiing experience. Because of its "ski emphasis," the resort keeps lift lines short and snow conditions prime. Other businesses offer amenities. In just a few short words, Alta is for the skier. Everything is about the slopes.
Known for amazing beginner and intermediate terrain, Alta also offers excellent advanced terrain throughout its snow-peppered mountains, including the legendary High Rustler. Noted for some of the best and most consistent snow conditions in the world, every year Alta receives over 500 inches of snow with depths up to 15 feet in the spring. The resort has 11 lifts and 54+ runs.
