The building, which was constructed by a local firm Foote and Pradolini, was designed in the Neoclassical style with Beaux Arts embelishments. The court is modeled after a London court with large copper chandeliers that weigh 300 pounds each.

The granite was quarried locally with the four columns coming from the State of Georgia.

The copper covered dome rises 30 feet above the roof.

The building was constructed at a cost of $164,000.
