Way down the long Malay Peninsular is the small city of Narathiwat, capital of the Thai province of the same name, which abuts Malaysia. One of the landmarks of this quiet town is the town, four faced, tower clock, located near the amorphous town centre. The clock stands on a traffic roundabout, and is visible for a fair distance up and down the uncrowded streets. It is not the most glamourous clock ever seen, but it does tell the correct time.
