This shelter is a stone and timber construction with thatched roof and a wooden pinnacle on which are mounted two clock faces, and two commemorative plaques. Above the metal pinnacle roof is a Steam Traction Engine wind vane.

There is an information board and bench in the shelter which is on the triangle at the junction of three roads, Guilsborough Hill, Church Lane and Creaton Road.

A steam traction engine silhouette appears on the southern face plaque commemorating 'This Shelter was Funded and Presented to the Village by Hollowell Steam Rally Committee', whilst the northern face bears a plaque 'Hollowell Millennium, AD 2000'.
