Lothbury Court-Bullion Doors The tympanum contains a lion's mask in high relief , holding a ring in its mouth from which loops of chain go out to rings at either side. Each leaf of the door has a huge double-warded key in vigorous low relief. The handle of each key contains a caduceus. A symmetrical design of chains descends beneath the wards of the keys. The chains are linked at the bottom of each door panel by a ring. This door is unlike the others at the Bank in that it is a sliding door. It was therefore impossible for the leaves to include any high relief, hence the discrepancy between them and the tympanum above.
