A marble monument over their grave of Simon Fraser, the famed explorer, located in the pioneer graveyard at St. Andrews West, Ontario. It was erected by the Hudson's Bay Company in 1921.
Description: Simon Fraser was a famous explorer in Canada. In the employ of the North West Company, he explored what is now "British Columbia". He is best known for his daring exploration of the Fraser River. Later in life, he retired to St. Andrews West, Ontario where he farmed and ran mills. He is buried in the pioneer graveyard in St. Andrews West.
