Genesis 13:18
So Abram went to live near the great trees of Mamre at Hebron, where he pitched his tents. There he built an altar to the LORD.
This is the first reference of Hebron in the book of Genesis. Hebron is also the place in which Sarah was buried.

This town pronounces it's name with a long "e", rather than a short "e", as it is known today. The people are friendly and churches abound in the community.
Bible verse: Genesis 13:18
