This limestone castle-like tower stands above the forest in Winterset City Park. It was erected in 1926 in memory of Caleb Clark and his wife Ruth Clanton Clark, the first white pioneers to settler in Madison County eighty years earlier. Today the 25’ tower is a popular tourist attraction in the park. Its winding stone steps lead to 8 arched window openings and a scenic view. The tower is reached by a dirt road which winds through the woods, and there is parking at the base of the tower.
