The SBB switchtower was built 1998/1999 at the eastern entrance of the station Basel SBB. Here the flow of almost 1000 passenger trains per day (no numbers available for the additional freight and post trains).
The building looks like a slightly irregular monolith from distance. Copper ribbons cover the building completely. In front of the windows those ribbons are a little twisted but don't let you see in.
