This historical marker is attached to a boulder at the entrance to the Crescent City Park campground. The text reads:
“This boulder marks the spot on the original shore line where the survey began for Crescent Park subdivision dedicated to Lake View, Iowa for park purposes by Hugo and Katie Westerman on February 3, 1920.”
The park is located on the north shore of Blackhawk Lake just off of 3rd Street.
