Monument Valley straddles the Arizona-Utah border near the four corners area. The name of the town of Oljato-Monument Valley is usually shorftened to just Monument Valley.

Oljata-Monument Valley is the official name of the small community that is situated at the northern end of the geological and scenic Monument Valley, just north of the Arizona-Utah border. The residents of the area, and the US Post Office, just call it Monument Valley. The valley is one of great rock monuments of fantastic shapes, hence the name.

The town of Monument Valley has several tourist lodges and several companies provide open-air bus tours of various parts of the scenic valley.
