Close-up of headstone inscription:

ABOUT THE CEMETERY

"Roseland Cemetery was probably established about 1850. Individual lots in Roseland Cemetery are 24 feet by 24 feet. Lots were also sub-divided into 1/2 lots, and 1/4 lots. There are several apparent unmarked graves. Maps of Roseland are available at City Hall, 245 So. Mulberry Street, Monticello, Florida, 32344 for $6.00 each. The maps show the lot number, location and owner. Roseland Cemetery is located on East Madison Street, three blocks east of U.S. 19 North (known as North Jefferson Street). All available lots in Roseland Cemetery have been sold. The City of Monticello has started a new cemetery (Oakfield Cemetery) located on Waukeenah Highway, two miles south of U.S. 19 South in Jefferson County."
