As you leave the London Borough of Sutton, which was once part of Surrey until boundary changes, you enter the Borough of Epsom and Ewell, how long before London gobbles this borough up? The boundary is close to the start of Nonsuch Park with its palace (site of) and mansion and lots of green open space. One side of the road you will see the "Epsom" boundary sign and on the other side a welcome to "North Cheam" sign. Close by this sign is the old Epsom and Ewell/Sutton and Cheam boundary marker, which as you can see from the photo has seen better days.
