This is a Medieval church, restored in the C19 by G.G. Scott and W. Bassett-Smith when the aisles of 1774 were gothicised. It is built of coursed ironstone rubble and ashlar. It has a chancel, nave, and north and south aisles extending over the first bay of the chancel, a south porch, and a west tower. The chancel has 3-light Decorated windows to the east end and north and south sides with C19 tracery. The nave has a clerestory with C19 circular windows.
The font is to be found one bay from the west end of the nave, between the nave and the north aisle. It a simple hexagonal limestone basin font set upon an old sandstone pillar and base. It has a simple timber cover.
