First began in 1909 in Chamberlain, SD, Columbus College was intended to be the Notre Dame of the Midwest. The all-male prep school, high school, and college was removed to Sioux Falls in 1921.Its athletic teams dominated the area and in 1926 won the football, basketball, and track conference championships. The school failed during the Great Depression but the buildings remain re-telling the tale for all to see.
