Magma - South Dakota Historical Markers on Waymarking.com

Corson Diabase was named for the place the hardened magma was first found near Split Rock Creek (Corson, SD). Here at Lien Park, a quarry was established in the early 1900s, and the rock was used to build such as to make the black facade on the original Washington High School in Sioux Falls.
